Answer: "And what kind of person, monks, is to be avoided, not to be associated with, not to be frequented, not to be attended upon? Here, monks, some person is immoral, of evil nature, of impure and suspicious conduct, with hidden deeds, no recluse, but claiming to be a recluse, no holy liver, but claiming to live a holy life, inwardly rotten, oozing, a heap of refuse. Such a person, monks, is to be avoided, not to be associated with, not to be frequented, not to be attended upon." In this way, venerable sir, by the Blessed One, was the person to be avoided, not to be associated with, not to be frequented, not to be attended upon, explained. Question: And how, friend, there by the Blessed One, was the person to be overlooked, not to be associated with, not to be frequented, not to be attended upon, explained? Answer: "And what kind of person, monks, is to be overlooked, not to be associated with, not to be frequented, not to be attended upon? Here, monks, some person is angry, full of vexation. Even when spoken to a little, he gets angry, becomes enraged, becomes hostile, shows resentment, and manifests anger, hatred, and displeasure." In this way, venerable sir, by the Blessed One, there was the person to be overlooked, not to be associated with... the person who should not be associated with, should not be served, should not be attended upon, was declared. Question – How, friend, was the person who should be associated with, should be served, should be attended upon, declared by the Blessed One there? Answer – “And what, monks, is the person who should be associated with, should be served, should be attended upon? Here, monks, a certain person is virtuous, of good conduct.
