and from person-space. Here, "Does the aggregate of form arise for one, for whom the aggregate of feeling arises?" For those arising in the realm of non-percipient beings, the aggregate of form arises for them, but the aggregate of feeling does not arise for them. For those arising in the five-aggregate realm, the aggregate of form arises for them, and the aggregate of feeling also arises. "Or rather, does the aggregate of feeling arise for one, for whom the aggregate of form arises?" For those arising in the formless realm, the aggregate of feeling arises for them, but the aggregate of form does not arise for them. For those arising in the five-aggregate realm, the aggregate of feeling arises for them, and the aggregate of form also arises. "Does the aggregate of form arise... ...for whom the aggregate of consciousness arises?... ...Or rather, does the aggregate of consciousness arise for one, for whom the aggregate of form arises?... ...five-aggregate realm... ...arises?" Thus, there are four based on the aggregate of form, and three based on the aggregate of feeling, beginning with "Does the aggregate of feeling arise for one, for whom the aggregate of perception arises?" Two based on the aggregate of perception, and one based on the aggregate of mental formations. Thus, in the present time, in the personal variation, there are ten pairs of Yamaka in the direct order. Among the four based on the aggregate of form, only the first is fully explained in the text, the rest are abbreviated for ease of recitation, as their explanations are similar. However, in those based on the aggregate of feeling, the explanation is uniformly "Yes" everywhere. Since the arising of perception, etc., necessarily follows the arising of feeling, etc., all of them are abbreviated there. Just as there are ten pairs of Yamaka in the personal variation, so too in the spatial variation, beginning with "Where the aggregate of form arises, does the aggregate of feeling arise?" "In the realm of non-percipient beings, there... ...in the five-aggregate realm, there... ...arises," etc., and in the person-space variation, beginning with "For whom, where the aggregate of form aris Whose, there, feeling aggregate arises? The unconscious beings… …the five-aggregate beings… …arises, etc. In the present time, in the three turns, in the direct mode, there are thirty pairs. Just as there are thirty in the direct mode, so also in the reverse mode: "Whose form aggregate does not arise, whose feeling aggregate does not arise?" "For those arising in the formless realm, their form aggregate does not arise, but their feeling aggregate does not arise." "For all those deceasing, their form aggregate also does not arise, and their feeling aggregate also does not arise." "Or again, whose feeling aggregate does not arise, whose form aggregate does not arise?" "For those arising in the unconscious realm, their feeling aggregate does not arise, but their form aggregate does not arise." "For all those deceasing, their feeling aggregate also does not arise, and their form aggregate also does not arise," etc. "Where the form aggregate does not arise, there the feeling aggregate does not arise?" "It arises." "Or again… …does not arise?" "It arises," etc. "For whom, where, the form aggregate does not arise, for them, there, the feeling aggregate does not arise… …for all those deceasing, both do not arise," etc., thus thirty pairs. Thus, in the present time, there are sixty pairs, twice as many questions, and twice as many meanings should be understood. Therein, "Whose form aggregate arises," means for which individual, at the moment of rebirth, the form aggregate arises. "Whose feeling aggregate," means the feeling aggregate also arises for them at that very moment; this is the meaning in this way. Therein, "the unconscious beings" means for those arising in the unconscious realm by way of rebirth, at their moment of arising, the form aggregate arises, but because they are without mind, the feeling aggregate does not arise; this is the meaning. In this very way, in the questions and answers beginning with "Or again, whose feeling aggregate," and everywhere thereafter, the meaning should be understood. This is the arising here. The characteristic of regularity in arising and ceasing: Indeed, in this aggregate-pair, it is not easy to show the arising and ceasing by separating out the rapidly changing phenomena in the continuous arising and ceasing of aggregates of beings born here and there, continuing until death. Without touching on arising and ceasing in continuity, the arising-section is stated only in terms of rebirth-arising, and the ceasing-section only in terms of ceasing at the time of death. Thus, understanding the characteristic of regularity in these arisings and ceasings, one should understand the meaning-determination of the questions and answers that have come up in those various places, taking only rebirth-arising and death-ceasing. In the reverse method, however, "of all those who are dying" means those endowed with the dissolution-moment of the death-consciousness. For in that case, the form-aggregate does not arise for them, and the feeling-aggregate has already arisen at the arising-moment of the death-consciousness. To the question, "Where the form-aggregate does not arise, does the feeling-aggregate not arise?" the answer "it does arise" is given referring to the immaterial realm, and to the subsequent question, the answer "it does arise" is given referring to the non-percipient realm. The rest is easily understood. This is the method in the present time. And just as there are sixty pairs of yamaka etc. in the present time, so it should be understood that there are individual ones in each of the remaining five time-divisions. In the questions and answers here, although it is said, "For whom the form-aggregate arose, for them did the feeling-aggregate arise? Yes," etc., and "Where the form-aggregate arose, there did the feeling-aggregate arise? It arose in the five-aggregate existence, not elsewhere," etc., and "For whom, where the form-aggregate arose, for them, there did the feeling-aggregate arise? For those of the five-aggregate existence, it arose there, not elsewhere," etc., in the forward method in the past time, "For whom the form-aggregate did not arise, for them did the feeling-aggregate not arise?" "Did it cease?" "No," and so on, "Where the aggregate of form did not arise, did the aggregate of feeling arise there?" "It did arise," and so on, "For whom, where the aggregate of form did not arise, did the aggregate of feeling not arise there?" "For the immaterial beings, the aggregate of form did not arise there, but not for them... for the Pure Abodes, both did not arise there," and so on, in three rounds in the reverse mode; "For whom the aggregate of form will arise, will the aggregate of feeling arise?" "Yes," and so on, "Where the aggregate of form will arise, will the aggregate of feeling arise there?... it will arise in the five-aggregate existence," and so on, "For whom, where the aggregate of form will arise, will the aggregate of feeling arise there?... for the five-aggregate beings, it will arise there," and so on, in the future tense in the direct mode; "For whom the aggregate of form will not arise, will the aggregate of feeling not arise?" "For those who, having arisen in the immaterial realm, will be completely extinguished, the aggregate of form will not arise, but not for the others; for those in their final existence, both will not arise," and so on, "Where the aggregate of form will not arise, will the aggregate of feeling not arise there?" and so on, "For whom, where the aggregate of form will not arise, will the aggregate of feeling not arise there?" "For the immaterial beings, the aggregate of form will not arise there, but not for the others; for those in their final existence, both will not arise there," and so on, in the reverse mode; "For whom the aggregate of form arises, did the aggregate of feeling arise?" and so on, "Where the aggregate of form arises, did the aggregate of feeling arise there?... it arises in the five-aggregate existence," and so on, "For whom, where the aggregate of form arises, did the aggregate of feeling arise there?" "For those arising in the Pure Abodes and the non-percipient realm, the aggregate of form arises there, but not for them there..." The aggregate of feeling arose, But did it arise in the five-aggregate existence?" And so on, in the direct order, from the present to the past. "For whom the aggregate of form does not arise, For them did the aggregate of feeling not arise?" And so on. "Where the aggregate of form does not arise, There did the aggregate of feeling not arise?" "It did arise!" and so on. "For whom, where the aggregate of form does not arise, For them, there did the aggregate of feeling not arise?" "For those passing away from the five-aggregate existence, And for the formless beings, For them, there the aggregate of form does not arise, But for them, there the aggregate of feeling did not arise. For those attaining final Nibbāna in the Pure Abodes, And for those passing away from the mindless beings, For them, there the aggregate of form also does not arise, And the aggregate of feeling did arise." And so on, in the reverse order. "For whom the aggregate of form arises, For them will the aggregate of feeling arise?" "For those in their last existence, Arising in the five-aggregate existence, For them, the aggregate of form arises," And so on. "Where the aggregate of form arises, There will the aggregate of feeling arise?" "In the five-aggregate existence… …will arise," and so on. "For whom, where the aggregate of form arises, For them, there will the aggregate of feeling arise?" "For those in their last existence, In the five-aggregate existence… …will arise," and so on, in the direct order, from the present to the future.
