Supramundane phenomena are conditions for worldly phenomena by way of object condition – The Noble Ones, having emerged from the path, review the path, review the fruit, review Nibbāna; Nibbāna for change-of-lineage, for purification, for advertence, are conditions by way of object; The Noble Ones know the mind of one endowed with supramundane consciousness by the knowledge of penetrating minds; supramundane aggregates for the knowledge of penetrating minds, for the knowledge of recollecting past lives, for the knowledge of future events, for advertence, are conditions by way of object. (2) Dominance Condition 151. Worldly phenomena are conditions for worldly phenomena by way of dominance condition – Object dominance, conascent dominance. Object dominance – Having given alms, having observed morality, …having performed Uposatha, …formerly, …from jhānas, …trainees review change-of-lineage, making it dominant, review purification, making it dominant; one enjoys and delights in the eye, …the base, worldly aggregates, making them dominant; making that dominant, lust arises, wrong view arises. Conascent dominance – Worldly dominance is a condition for associated aggregates and for mind-originated material phenomena by way of dominance condition. (1) 152. Supramundane phenomena are conditions for supramundane phenomena by way of dominance condition – Object dominance, conascent dominance. Object dominance – Nibbāna for the path, for the fruit, is a condition by way of dominance condition. Conascent dominance – Supramundane dominance for associated aggregates is a condition by way of predominant influence. (1) The supramundane state is a condition for the mundane state by way of predominant influence—predominance of object, predominance of co-arising. Predominance of object—the Noble Ones, having emerged from the path, reflect upon the path, making it supreme; they reflect upon the fruit, making it supreme; they reflect upon Nibbāna, making it supreme; Nibbāna is a condition for the Gotrabhū and for the Vodāna by way of predominant influence. Predominance of co-arising—supramundane predominance is a condition for mind-originated material phenomena by way of predominant influence. (2) The supramundane state is a condition for the mundane and for the supramundane state by way of predominant influence. Predominance of co-arising—supramundane predominance is a condition for the associated aggregates and for mind-originated material phenomena by way of predominant influence. (3) Contiguity Condition 153. The mundane state is a condition for the mundane state by way of contiguity condition—the preceding mundane aggregates are a condition for the succeeding mundane aggregates… and so on… the Anuloma for the Gotrabhū… the Anuloma for the Vodāna by way of contiguity condition. (1) The mundane state is a condition for the supramundane state by way of contiguity condition—the Gotrabhū for the path… the Vodāna for the path… the Anuloma for the attainment of fruit… for one emerging from cessation, the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception is a condition for the attainment of fruit by way of contiguity condition. (2) 154. The supramundane state is a condition for the supramundane state by way of contiguity condition—the preceding supramundane aggregates are a condition for the succeeding supramundane aggregates by way of contiguity condition; the path for the fruit, the fruit for the fruit by way of contiguity condition. (1) The supramundane state is a condition for the mundane state by way of contiguity condition—the fruit is a condition for emergence by way of contiguity condition. (2) Immediate Contiguity Condition, etc. 155. The mundane state is a condition for the mundane state by way of immediate contiguity condition… by way of co-arising condition (five questions, gh (there is no wandering) is conditioned by mutual condition… two… is conditioned by support condition. Decisive Support Condition 156. A worldly phenomenon is conditioned by decisive support condition for a worldly phenomenon – object decisive support, contiguity decisive support, natural decisive support…etc…. Natural decisive support – relying on worldly faith one gives alms…etc… generates insight, generates supernormal knowledge, generates attainments, cultivates conceit, grasps wrong view; worldly morality…etc… relying on lodging one gives alms…etc… splits the Sangha; worldly faith…etc… lodging for worldly faith…etc… is conditioned by decisive support condition for bodily suffering; wholesome and unwholesome kamma is conditioned by decisive support condition for its result. (1) A worldly phenomenon is conditioned by decisive support condition for a supramundane phenomenon – contiguity decisive support, natural decisive support…etc…. Natural decisive support – the preliminary work for the first path is conditioned by decisive support condition for the first path…etc… the preliminary work for the fourth path is conditioned by decisive support condition for the fourth path. (2) 157. A supramundane phenomenon is conditioned by decisive support condition for a supramundane phenomenon – object decisive support, contiguity decisive support, natural decisive support…etc…. Natural decisive support – the first path is conditioned by decisive support condition for the second path…etc… the third path is conditioned by decisive support condition for the fourth path. (1) A supramundane phenomenon is conditioned by decisive support condition for a worldly phenomenon – object decisive support, contiguity decisive support, natural decisive support…etc…. Natural decisive support – the Noble Ones, relying on the path, generate unarisen attainments, enter into arisen attainments, they discern formations as impermanent, as suffering, as non-self; the path of the Noble Ones…etc… is conditioned by decisive support condition for skill in what is possible and impossible; fruition attainment is conditioned by decisive support condition for bodily pleasure. (2) Pure-arising condition 158. Worldly phenomena are a condition for worldly phenomena by way of the pure-arising condition – object pure-arising, basis pure-arising. Object pure-arising – the eye…and so on… the basis as impermanent, as suffering, as non-self…and so on… displeasure arises; with the divine eye one sees forms, with the divine ear element one hears sounds. The eye-base for eye-consciousness…and so on… the tangible-base for body-consciousness is a condition by way of the pure-arising condition. Basis pure-arising – the eye-base for eye-consciousness…and so on… the body-base for body-consciousness…and so on… the basis for worldly aggregates is a condition by way of the pure-arising condition. (1) Worldly phenomena are a condition for supramundane phenomena by way of the pure-arising condition. Basis pure-arising – the basis for supramundane aggregates is a condition by way of the pure-arising condition. (2) Posterior-arising condition 159. Worldly phenomena are a condition for worldly phenomena by way of the posterior-arising condition – the posterior-arisen worldly aggregates for this prior-arisen body are a condition by way of the posterior-arising condition. (1) Supramundane phenomena are a condition for worldly phenomena by way of the posterior-arising condition – the posterior-arisen supramundane aggregates for this prior-arisen body are a condition by way of the posterior-arising condition. (1) Repetition condition 160. Worldly phenomena are a condition for worldly phenomena by way of the repetition condition – the preceding preceding worldly aggregates for the succeeding succeeding worldly aggregates are a condition by way of the repetition condition; adaptation for change-of-lineage… adaptation for purification is a condition by way of the repetition condition. (2) Kamma condition 161. Worldly phenomena are a condition for worldly phenomena by way of the kamma condition – conascent, moment-to-moment. Conascent – worldly volition for associated aggregates and mind-originated forms is a condition by way of the kamma condition; at the moment of rebirth-linking …etc…. Of different moments – worldly volition is a condition by way of kamma for resultant aggregates and for kamma-born matter. (1) Supramundane phenomena are a condition by way of kamma for supramundane phenomena – co-arising, of different moments. Co-arising – supramundane volition is a condition by way of kamma for associated aggregates. Of different moments – supramundane volition is a condition by way of kamma for resultant aggregates. (1) Supramundane phenomena are a condition by way of kamma for worldly phenomena – supramundane volition is a condition by way of kamma for mind-originated matter. (2) Supramundane phenomena are a condition by way of kamma for worldly and supramundane phenomena – supramundane volition is a condition by way of kamma for associated aggregates and for mind-originated matter. (3) Resultant Condition 162. Worldly phenomena are a condition by way of result for worldly phenomena – one resultant worldly aggregate is a condition by way of result for three aggregates and for mind-originated matter…etc… two aggregates…etc… at the moment of re-linking…etc…. Worldly phenomena are a condition by way of nutriment for worldly phenomena – worldly nutriments are a condition by way of nutriment for associated aggregates and for mind-originated matter; at the moment of re-linking…etc… edible food is a condition by way of nutriment for this body.
