(1) A limited-object phenomenon is a condition by way of object for a lofty-object phenomenon. One reflects on the divine eye, reflects on the divine ear element, reflects on the knowledge of psychic powers with a limited object, reflects on the knowledge of penetrating minds, the knowledge of recollection of past lives, the knowledge of knowing beings' destinies according to their karma, the knowledge of future events. In a limited object, one discerns the lofty aggregates as impermanent... enjoys and delights in them. Because of that, craving for a lofty object arises... sorrow arises. With the knowledge of penetrating minds, one knows the mind of one endowed with a lofty mind and a limited object. Limited aggregates with a lofty object are a condition by way of object for the knowledge of penetrating minds, for the knowledge of recollection of past lives, for the knowledge of future events, for advertence. (2) 15. A lofty-object phenomenon is a condition by way of object for a lofty-object phenomenon. One reflects on the sphere of infinite consciousness, reflects on the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception, reflects on the knowledge of psychic powers with a lofty object, reflects on the knowledge of penetrating minds, the knowledge of recollection of past lives, the knowledge of knowing beings' destinies according to their karma, the knowledge of future events. In a lofty object, one discerns the lofty aggregates as impermanent... enjoys and delights in them. One perceives, concerning that, a passion with a lofty object arises... ...sorrow arises. By the knowledge of penetrating minds, one knows the mind of one endowed with a lofty mind having a lofty object. The lofty aggregates with a lofty object for the knowledge of penetrating minds, for the knowledge of recollecting past lives, for the knowledge of knowing beings' destinies according to their kamma, for the knowledge of future events, for advertence, are a condition by way of object. (1) A lofty-object phenomenon is a condition for a limited-object phenomenon by way of object condition. One reviews the first jhāna review... ...one reviews the neither-perception-nor-non-perception sphere review, one reviews the divine eye review, one reviews the divine ear element review, the knowledge of psychic powers review... ...the knowledge of penetrating minds review... ...the knowledge of past lives review... ...the knowledge of kamma's results review... ...the knowledge of future events review. Noble Ones review the abandoned defilements with a lofty object, they review the suppressed defilements, they know the defilements accumulated in the past. One sees the limited aggregates with a lofty object as impermanent... ...one enjoys, one delights in. Concerning that, a passion with a limited object arises... ...sorrow arises. By the knowledge of penetrating minds, one knows the mind of one endowed with a limited mind having a lofty object. The limited aggregates with a lofty object for the knowledge of penetrating minds, for the knowledge of past lives, for the knowledge of kamma's results, for the knowledge of future events, for advertence, are a condition by way of object. (2) 16. An immeasurable-object phenomenon is a condition for an immeasurable-object phenomenon by way of object condition. Noble Ones, having arisen from the path, review the path, review the fruit. By the knowledge of penetrating minds, one knows the mind of one endowed with an immeasurable mind having an immeasurable object. The immeasurable aggregates with an immeasurable object for the knowledge of penetrating minds, for the knowledge of past lives, for the knowledge of future events, for advertence. For people is a condition by way of object condition. (1) The immeasurable-object phenomenon for the limited-object phenomenon is a condition by way of object condition – The noble ones reflect on the change of lineage, they reflect on purification, they reflect on the review of the path, they reflect on the review of the fruit, they reflect on the review of Nibbāna. He sees the limited aggregates with an immeasurable object as impermanent… (etc.)… By mind-penetrating knowledge, he knows the mind of one endowed with a limited mind having an immeasurable object. The limited aggregates with an immeasurable object are a condition by way of object condition for mind-penetrating knowledge, for the knowledge of past lives, for the knowledge of beings' destinies according to their actions, for the knowledge of future events, for advertence. (2) The immeasurable-object phenomenon for the exalted-object phenomenon is a condition by way of object condition – The noble ones reflect on mind-penetrating knowledge with an immeasurable object, they reflect on the knowledge of past lives, they reflect on the knowledge of future events. By mind-penetrating knowledge, they know the mind of one endowed with an exalted mind having an immeasurable object. The exalted aggregates with an immeasurable object are a condition by way of object condition for mind-penetrating knowledge, for the knowledge of past lives, for the knowledge of future events, for advertence. (3) Dominance Condition 17. The limited-object phenomenon for the limited-object phenomenon is a condition by way of dominance condition – Object dominance, conascence dominance. Object dominance: Having given a gift, having undertaken precepts, having performed the Uposatha ceremony, having made that important, he reflects. Having made well-performed deeds of the past important, he reflects. Having made the limited aggregates with a limited object important, he enjoys and delights in them. Having made that important, limited-object greed arises, wrong view arises. Conascence dominance: Limited-object dominance is a condition by way of dominance condition for the associated aggregates. (1) The limited-object phenomenon for the exalted-object phenomenon is a condition by way of dominance condition. Object dominance: He reviews the divine eye, making it important; the divine ear element... the limited-object knowledge of psychic power... the knowledge of penetrating minds... the knowledge of recollecting past lives... the knowledge of how beings pass away according to their kamma... the knowledge of future events, making it important, he reviews. He tastes and delights in the limited-object, exalted aggregates, making them important. Making that important, exalted-object passion arises, wrong view arises. (2) 18. Exalted-object phenomena are a condition for exalted-object phenomena by way of the condition of dominance – dominance of object, dominance of co-arising. Dominance of object – he reviews the sphere of infinite consciousness, making it important; the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception... the exalted-object knowledge of psychic power... the knowledge of penetrating minds... the knowledge of recollecting past lives... the knowledge of how beings pass away according to their kamma... the knowledge of future events, making it important, he reviews. He tastes and delights in the exalted-object, exalted aggregates, making them important. Making that important, exalted-object passion arises, wrong view arises. Dominance of co-arising – exalted-object dominance is a condition for the associated aggregates by way of the condition of dominance. (1) Exalted-object phenomena are a condition for limited-object phenomena by way of the condition of dominance. Dominance of object – he reviews the review of the first jhana, making it important... the review of the knowledge of future events, making it important, he reviews. He tastes and delights in the exalted-object, limited aggregates, making them important. Making that important, limited-object passion arises, wrong view arises. (2) 19. Immeasurable-object phenomena are a condition for immeasurable-object phenomena by way of the condition of dominance – dominance of object, dominance of co-arising. Dominance of object – the noble ones, having arisen from the path, review the path, making it important; they review the fruit, making it important. Dominance of co-arising – immeasurable-object dominance for the associated aggregates... Conditioned by predominance. (1) An immeasurable object-state is conditioned by predominance for a limited object-state. Object-predominance: Learners review having made the gotrabhuṃ weighty, they review having made the purification weighty, they review having made the path-review weighty, they review having made the fruit-review weighty, they review having made Nibbāna-review weighty. (2) An immeasurable object-state is conditioned by predominance for a lofty object-state. Object-predominance: Learners review having made the mind-penetrating knowledge of an immeasurable object weighty. They review having made the knowledge of past lives... ...the knowledge of future events weighty. (3) Contiguity Condition 20. A limited object-state is conditioned by contiguity for a limited object-state – Former, former limited object-aggregates are conditioned by contiguity for later, later limited object-aggregates. (1) A limited object-state is conditioned by contiguity for a lofty object-state – A limited object-death-consciousness is conditioned by contiguity for a lofty object-rebirth-consciousness. A limited object-life-continuum is conditioned by contiguity for a lofty object-adverting. Limited object-aggregates are conditioned by contiguity for the lofty object-emergence. (2) A limited object-state is conditioned by contiguity for an immeasurable object-state –
