If you fear suffering, do not delight in the future; Like an umbrella in the rainy season, good deeds are at the top. All phenomena are non-self, one should stir up what has come together; There is no release from suffering for you, both tranquility and insight. Clinging to sensual desire, he who is consumed by thoughts; With the fully developed factors of awakening, he untangles this tangle. Look upon the world as empty, you who cultivate concentration; For one desiring sensual pleasures, good destiny through righteous conduct. All are slain and released, striking in all four directions; He who avoids sensual pleasures, is like the coral tree. What a person does, the worldly phenomena are proclaimed; The result of merits is pleasant, no third thing is found. Knowing the fear of clinging, one is born and also decays; Sensual pleasures are indeed varied and colorful, like a salt-spear. Indeed, a bad deed done, does not go by wrong paths; Whose faculties have attained tranquility, likewise is endowed with five knowledges. As if struck by a spear, and consciousness is established; He who takes life, and the three bad conducts. Sixty thousand years, having obtained a rare moment; As rust arises from iron, in the four practices. Nelaṅgo s Covered by this, Then like a cowherd; Happy is seclusion for the contented, And thoughts are well-expounded. Form is like a lump of foam, Great, upright, glorious; Wisdom indeed is supreme in the world, The three faculties are unique. Attached to sensual pleasures, attached to their ties, Then a mysterious description. All phenomena are non-self, And the Noble Truth is taught. This indeed is the path, there is no other, Declare him a stream-enterer. Whose faculties are well-developed, And by the verses of Dhamma. By speech and by mind, The five aggregates as impermanent; Whatever a person does, And the three good conducts. Form, feeling, perception, The five aggregates are proclaimed; Whoever thus practices, And Brahma and the fruits. The non-doing of all evil, That indeed is taught as liberation; There is no love equal to a son, For gods and asuras. What is attained and what should be attained, He rejoices, he grieves constantly; Whatever beings have been or will be, And teachers are proclaimed. And what is sensual pleasure in the world, And the factors of awakening are well-taught; The eightfold path is supreme, And the three supreme attainments. Restraint by body is good, And what should be done is taught; There is no love equal to oneself, And the three noble ones are taught. Delighted in wholesome bodily action, And discipline, sensual pleasure in the world; And the factors of awakening are well-taught, Difficult to see, endless, and this shore and the other shore; In the instruction of the Piṭakas, The second stage named 'Establishment of the Teaching' is completed.
