Hopes, desires, and delight, the non-comprehension of the four; Whatever streams in the world, the firm form of the wheel's rim. That which is dependent, wavering, mindfulness of the body not established; By the truth made by oneself, and by the spheres of liberation. In the Peṭakopadesa, spoken by Mahākaccāyana, the first stage, the exposition of the Noble Truths, was not known by the living Blessed One, nor by a Tathāgata in such a summary, by one like me.
