Indeed, dependent on acquisitions, this suffering arises; with the destruction of all clinging, there is no arising of suffering. Behold this world; beings, widely afflicted by ignorance, delighting in becoming, are not liberated; whatever kinds of becoming there are, everywhere, in every way, all those kinds of becoming are impermanent, suffering, subject to change.’ When one sees this as it truly is, With right wisdom, The craving for becoming is abandoned, And one does not delight in non-becoming. With the complete destruction of cravings, The cessation of passion without remainder is Nibbāna; For that monk, extinguished, There is no renewed existence without clinging; Māra is overcome, the battle is won, Such a one has transcended all becomings.
