7. The Arahant Chapter 90. For one whose journey is done, who is sorrowless, completely freed in every way; For one who has abandoned all ties, no burning exists. 91. The mindful exert themselves, they do not delight in a home; Like swans leaving a pond, they abandon home after home. 92. For whom there is no accumulation, who have understood food; Emptiness and signlessness, are their sphere of liberation; Like birds in the sky, their path is hard to trace. 93. For whom the defilements are destroyed, and who is unattached to food; Emptiness and signlessness, are whose sphere of liberation; Like birds in the sky, his track is hard to trace. 94. Whose faculties have come to peace, like horses well-tamed by a charioteer; For one who has abandoned conceit, who is undefiled, even gods envy such a one. 95. Like the earth, he does not resist; Like an immovable doorpost, such a one, well-disciplined; Like a lake free of mud, for such a one, there are no more rebirths. 96. Peaceful is his mind, peaceful are his speech and action; For one rightly freed by perfect knowledge, for such a one, perfectly tranquil. 97. One who is unfaithful (to delusion), who knows the unmade, and who has cut the ties; Who has destroyed opportunity, who has vomited desire; He is truly the supreme person. 98. In a village or in a forest, in a valley or on a hill; Wherever Arahants dwell, that spot is delightful. 99. Delightful are the forests, where ordinary people do not delight; Those free from passion will delight, for they are not seekers of sensual pleasures. The Arahant Chapter, the seventh, is finished.
