1. Whatever beings are assembled here, whether of the earth or in the sky; May all these beings be of happy mind, and listen carefully to what is spoken. 2. Therefore, O beings, listen all, show kindness to the human race; Who day and night bring offerings, therefore, guard them diligently. 3. Whatever wealth there is, here or beyond, or any precious gem in heavenly realms; There is nothing equal to the Tathāgata, this precious gem is in the Buddha; By this truth, may there be well-being. 4. The fading, dispassion, the deathless, the sublime, which the Sakyan sage attained, composed; Nothing equals that Dhamma, this precious gem is in the Dhamma; By this truth, may there be well-being. 5. That pure concentration praised by the Buddha-chief, which they call immediate, without interval; No equal is found to that concentration, this precious gem is in the Dhamma; By this truth, may there be well-being. 6. The eight persons praised by the good, these are four pairs; They are worthy of offerings, disciples of the Sugata, gifts given to them bear great fruit; This precious gem is in the Saṅgha; By this truth, may there be well-being. 7. Those who are well-engaged with firm minds, desireless in Gotama's teaching; Having attained their goal, immersed in the deathless, having gained freely, enjoying Nibbāna; This precious gem is in the Saṅgha; By this truth, may there be well-being. 8. As an Indra-post, firmly planted in the earth, unshaken by the four winds; Such a good person I declare, who sees the Noble Truths with insight; This precious gem is in the Saṅgha; By this truth, may there be well-being. 9. Those who clearly understand the Noble Truths, well-taught by one of profound wisdom; Even if they are very heedless, they do not take an eighth existence; This precious gem is in the Saṅgha; By this truth, may there be well-being. By this truth, may there be well-being. 10. With the attainment of right view, three things are abandoned: Self-identity view, and doubt, and any adherence to rites and rituals. 11. Released from the four states of woe, he is incapable of committing the six grave offenses. This too in the Saṅgha is a precious jewel. By this truth, may there be well-being. 12. Even if he commits an evil deed, by body, speech, or mind, he is incapable of concealing it; such is the impossibility for one who has seen the path. This too in the Saṅgha is a precious jewel. By this truth, may there be well-being. 13. Like forest groves with flowering tops, in the first month of summer, so he taught the excellent Dhamma, leading to Nibbāna, for the highest good. This too in the Buddha is a precious jewel. By this truth, may there be well-being. 14. The excellent, the knower of excellence, the giver of excellence, the bringer of excellence, the unsurpassed, taught the excellent Dhamma. This too in the Buddha is a precious jewel. By this truth, may there be well-being. 15. The old is exhausted, no new arising, their minds detached from future existence. With seeds destroyed, desires not growing, the wise attain Nibbāna, like this lamp. This too in the Saṅgha is a precious jewel. By this truth, may there be well-being. 16. Whatever beings are assembled here, whether on earth or in the sky, let us revere the Tathāgata, honored by gods and humans, the Buddha. May there be well-being. 17. Whatever beings are assembled here, whether on earth or in the sky, let us revere the Tathāgata, honored by gods and humans, the Dhamma. May there be well-being. 18. Whatever beings are assembled here, whether on earth or in the sky, let us revere the Tathāgata, honored by gods and humans, the Saṅgha. May there be well-being. May it be so, indeed.
