'I will speak with a view to the meaning' – thus should the Dhamma be taught to others; 'I will speak out of compassion' – thus should the Dhamma be taught to others; 'I will speak without seeking material gain' – thus should the Dhamma be taught to others; 'I will speak without harming myself or others' – thus should the Dhamma be taught to others.
