Now at that time, bhikkhunis, being scrupulous, did not accept salutations from men, hair cutting, nail cutting, or wound treatment. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "I allow, O bhikkhus, that they accept them." 435. Now at that time, bh The bhikkhunis sat in full lotus, enjoying the touch of their heels. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Monks, a bhikkhuni should not sit in full lotus. If she does, it is an offense of wrong-doing." At that time, a certain bhikkhuni was sick. Without the full lotus, she was not comfortable. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Monks, I allow a bhikkhuni the half-lotus." At that time, bhikkhunis were defecating in the latrine. "Monks, a bhikkhuni should not bathe with perfumed clay. If she does, it is an offense of wrong-doing. Monks, I allow plain clay." At that time, bhikkhunis made a commotion while bathing in the hot-bath house. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Monks, a bhikkhuni should not bathe in the hot-bath house. If she does, it is an offense of wrong-doing." At that time, bhikkhunis bathed upstream, enjoying the touch of the current. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. they complained. “Monks, a nun should not bathe against the current. If she bathes, there is an offense of wrong-doing.” At that time, nuns were bathing in unauthorized bathing places. Rogues molested them. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. “Monks, a nun should not bathe in an unauthorized bathing place. If she bathes, there is an offense of wrong-doing.” At that time, nuns were bathing in men’s bathing places. People complained, grumbled, and criticized… just like a laywoman who enjoys sensual pleasures. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. “Monks, a nun should not bathe in a men’s bathing place.
