Training with the thought of becoming someone who attains enlightenment, there are three types: bliss-emptiness, clarity-emptiness, and training based on non-conceptualizing the nature of reality. First, with the body in the seven-point posture, visualize your own body in the center of a vast emptiness, free from obscurations and hindrances, with the central channel (uma nadi) as thick as a medium-sized arrow shaft, white on the outside and red on the inside, clear and transparent, with its upper end opening to the Brahma aperture and its lower end straight and located four fingers below the navel. Having visualized it so clearly, visualize at the upper end a white syllable ཧཾ་ (Tibetan: ཧཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हं, Sanskrit Romanization: haṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum), the nature of skillful means, with its head pointing downwards, in a comfortable, almost dripping state; and at the lower end, a red syllable ཨ་ (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: Ah), the nature of wisdom, with its head pointing upwards, in an almost blazing state. Having visualized it so clearly, visualize the breath as being in three parts. Then, slowly inhale the upper breath, and contract the lower breath, so that the fire of tummo arising from the syllable ཨ་ (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: Ah), possessing four qualities, blazes upwards, going like a red flash through the emptiness of the central channel. When it touches the syllable ཧྃ་ (Tibetan: ཧྃ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: हँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hँ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) at the crown of the head, the stream of blissful bodhicitta descends slowly like the roots of a tree being moistened with butter, and the fire blazes even more intensely from the syllable ཨ་ (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: Ah) at the navel. Thinking that the essence of the moon melts into nectar, filling the central channel and the four chakras within the body, and that the wisdom of bliss and warmth arises, do not direct the mind to the syllables Sanskrit Romanization: ahaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Ah Hum), but hold the mind on a clear and radiant white syllable ཨ་ (Tibetan: ཨ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: Ah) at the heart, and bind it in vase breathing. If you cannot do that, inhale slightly and suppress it. Then, exhale with a subtle and long force. In this way, strive to practice vase breathing until you have accomplished any of the three types: large, medium, or small. Until you are accustomed to it, do not let the breath be too strong, but hold it gently and moderately. Having become accustomed to it in this way, the wisdom of emptiness, with bliss as the means, will arise. Second, exhale a subtle and long breath from both nostrils with a "sang" sound. Direct the mind to the thought that all the object appearances of the six consciousnesses dissolve into the nature of the sky, becoming bluish-green, and suppress the breath from going out. Then, slowly inhale the breath, so that the object appearances that have become the nature of the sky enter through the nostrils. Visualize them remaining at the navel in a bluish-green state, and bind them in vase breathing. If the body is very hot, meditate on the breath having a cooling nature; if it is very cold, meditate on the touch having a warming nature. Like this, practice the vase breathing combination with four elements with great effort.

If holding the breath for a long time through practice does not cause fatigue, it is said to be a sign of progress. In this way, by clearly applying the method, non-conceptual emptiness will arise in the continuum. The third is: The body posture remains the same. The key to speech is to let the breath flow naturally. The key to the mind is not to think or contemplate any thoughts of the past, present, or future, and not to make any artificial adjustments, but to relax naturally and without artifice, remaining alert and without distraction. By maintaining this, the mind can focus on the target, and the non-conceptual, self-luminous state remains like the sky, which is the extent of practice. In this way, the mind of enlightenment will grow, which has a special necessity. To clarify this, one should recite and contemplate: Blissful clarity, non-conceptual like the sky, The holy meditation tames the mind. Like crops flourishing in fertile soil, The foundation of all samadhi should be cultivated. Here, in the lineage of the great vidyadharas, one first practices impermanence, then takes refuge. After the second mind training, generate bodhicitta. After the third and fourth, offer the mandala. After the fifth, practice and recite Vajrasattva. After the sixth, Guru Yoga. Then, after the seventh mind training, one begins to learn about the channels and energies. Third, it is about purifying the continuum through the four common preliminaries: Although it is not explicitly stated in the Copper Book and the instructions of the Omniscient One, it is said in the Red Letter Back Writing: "In a secluded place, accumulating merit is the first priority." This is only an implication of the scripture. The lineage of the great treasure masters, father and son, etc., has never interrupted this tradition. There are five aspects to this: the guidance of refuge, which is more excellent than the lower paths; the guidance of bodhicitta, the root of the Mahayana; the guidance of the practice and recitation of Vajrasattva, the essence of purifying sins and obscurations; the guidance of the mandala, which perfects the two accumulations; and the guidance of Guru Yoga, which quickly integrates blessings. First, refuge has two aspects: conventional truth and ultimate truth. The first is: We, through the discipline of abandoning the ten non-virtuous actions and virtuous deeds, are temporarily reborn in the happy realms, but if we have not attained the unsurpassed enlightenment that is liberation from suffering, then the good deeds done before

When the karma that propels one is exhausted, one falls back into the lower realms. One must endure various unbearable and intense sufferings for a long time. The only refuge from this is the Three Jewels; there is no other. The Buddha who actually appears to oneself is the holy guru, because he is inseparable from the body, speech, and mind of all the Buddhas of the three times. Thinking, "I will ask the Three Jewels, the objects of refuge, for refuge and assistance," one relaxes body and mind. Wherever one is, that place is precious. In the center of a beautiful and pleasing pure land made of various things, a wish-fulfilling tree with branches and leaves that are very lush pervades all of space. In the heart of the branches in the center, on top of a high and vast throne of jewels supported by lions, with various lotuses and sun and moon cushions, is the essence, the kind root guru himself, in the form of glorious Samantabhadra, with the enjoyment body's attire. His body is a clear, shimmering dark blue, radiating light. He is adorned with beautiful silks and jewels in abundance. His two hands are in the mudra of meditation. He sits in the vajra posture. Surrounded by the lineage gurus, he appears with a body that perfectly possesses the marks and signs. On each of the branches extending in the four directions, a high and vast seat is clearly apparent. In front, on the special seat, is the Buddha, glorious Vajrasattva, surrounded by the deities of the six tantra classes of yidams. On the seat to the right is the common Buddha, the teacher Shakyamuni, surrounded by the supreme emanations of the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times. On the seat in the back are the Dharma Jewels of scripture and realization, abiding in the form of stacked books. On the seat to the left abide the bodhisattva sangha, such as Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri, and Vajrapani, and the shravaka sangha, such as the venerable Shariputra and Maudgalyayana. In the spaces between them, the special sangha, dakinis, dharma protectors, guardians, those with the eye of wisdom, abide like dense clouds. In front of them, oneself and all sentient beings are situated like specks of dust on the great earth.
