If someone thinks that by changing, one can obtain another pure sky from the current sky, it is like now thinking that one is the nature of the Buddha. By meditating on self-illumination, just as the turbidity in the water settles, when sudden conceptual thoughts are purified in the state of mind, the three bodies naturally manifest, which is the Atiyoga self-existing accomplishment vehicle. Third, the method of post-perception experience cultivation: As it appears from the oral instructions of the venerable lama, what one has experienced is written here. That is, the view is free from extremes and without grasping, the meditation is self-illuminating and liberating, the conduct is spontaneous and thorough, and the fruit is without hope or fear. In order to become familiar with and accustomed to these meanings, if the fault of the view is falling into nihilistic emptiness, thereby recklessly committing evil deeds and lacking compassion, then one has fallen into the black extreme demonic view. Therefore, one should pray to the lama, generate pure appearances and devotion, practice loving-kindness and compassion, and train the mind in karma and impermanence. If one clings to things and characteristics, and the view only remains at the level of understanding, and both inner and outer phenomena appear as truly existent, then one has fallen into the view of clinging to the self and characteristics, therefore one should train the mind in the emptiness of all phenomena. Train all appearances to be like dreams and illusions, without grasping. Then, when the awareness without clinging to appearances arises, vast and without bias, do not be distracted in that state, but meditate clearly and brightly. If one is drowsy and dull, let the conceptual thoughts scatter to the objects, rely on cool high places, practice skills and strive. The fault of practice: if various conceptual thoughts arise, then practice non-grasping, and if conceptual thoughts arise even more strongly, then do not keep the mind inside, but recognize that it is scattered. Then, when it no longer scatters, do not be distracted in the state of non-conceptual equanimity, but place the mind on external appearances and meditate. When it appears clearly and non-conceptually, then continuously meditate. If one is attached to the bliss-clarity-non-thought awareness, then one should break it, observe the nature of each, and practice the skills of the view. Then, meditate on appearances as non-grasping, buzzing and hissing, without a meditator or something to be meditated on, without searching or practicing, therefore, continuously practice on that awareness, and train in the emptiness of clarity and non-conceptuality, in the state of self-emptiness. That is, first focus the mind on any one object.

It is very important to gain stability. All phenomena, internal and external, appear to be of one taste, merged into one. The mind scatters from its abiding place, and abides from its scattering. The appearance of abiding and scattering as non-dual is the practice of small, medium, and great familiarity. Then, an experience arises of not clinging to the truth of present appearances. At this time, appearances are fleeting, speech is uncertain, and dreams are only virtuous. Then, appearances are also vague, speech is unrelated, and one remembers dreams and dreams of what one does during the day. Then, appearances are also empty, speech is uncertain, and dreams dissolve into clear light. At that time, awareness appears as utterly without support. Thus, when dreams cease and the delusion of habitual patterns dissolves and clears, the mind's nature, like the sky, becomes of one taste with the unborn realm, and enlightenment is attained on the ground of primordial, all-creating wisdom, free from obscurations. This is called enlightenment. Moreover, by meditating on the mind's nature in a state free from elaboration, the ultimate meaning of the Dharmakaya is spontaneously accomplished, and the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya spontaneously arise from that state. This is the greatness of self-arisen wisdom. The deviation in conduct is clinging to ordinary self and dualistic grasping, clinging to characteristics. Whatever arises, one should not be distracted even slightly from the meaning of view and meditation, and by acting without distraction, spontaneous, unobstructed conduct arises, which is the nature of the relaxed six consciousnesses. One should act without contradicting that very meaning. The deviation in result is the arising of thoughts that cling to hope and fear. Because one has faith in the fact that self-arisen wisdom itself is the Buddha, one is liberated from the deviation of hoping to attain it in the future as a doubter. The third meaning is to conceal and seal: conceal from those who are not vessels, and even for those who are vessels, if it is more than five, the dakinis will inflict punishment, so keep it very secret. If it is not kept secret, obstacles and slanders will arise for both, and the essential vehicle will disappear. From wherever the teachings are placed, even if one does not adopt or reject the essential meaning, non-humans and spirits will create obstacles, and accomplished dakinis will inflict untimely death and fear on both. Due to the power of slander, the essential vehicle will be destroyed. Therefore, conceal it from persons of bad lineage. Thus it is said. Therefore, concealing it from those who are not vessels and teaching it to those who are fortunate is the supreme real accomplishment.

May it be well accomplished! Thus, this is the essential instruction on the All-Creating King. At the urging of a virtuous student, it was well arranged on the summit of the White Skull Snow Mountain. By this virtue, may all beings become the All-Creating One! Although one's mind is as vast and peaceful as the sky, one slightly misunderstands and interprets it wrongly. Seeing that the mind of the listener is inherently dark, it is difficult to have the opportunity to be seized by the compassion of the noble-minded. Nowadays, one wanders in the ocean of existence due to habitual tendencies, and is covered by a web of obscurations that are the nature of delusion. Although the precious eye-ointment of Dharma is used to open the eyes, there is still no time to see the essence of the heart. Alas! The nature of mind is the supreme precious jewel. Even if it is found here after being lost elsewhere for many eons, one does not take it, but is stirred up by the wind of elaboration. There is no time to be liberated from the dangerous path of relatives and cyclic existence. Wherever one dwells, one desires enlightenment, but there is no time to see that very nature in the solitary mind. Striving here deceives the thought of hoping for a future time. Is there even a little bit of meditation that can be done here? I and others have fallen into the meaningless ocean of worldly distractions for many eons, and there is no time to be liberated. Therefore, who is there to protect us? Thinking like this, unbearable sorrow increases. The profound Dharma is a precious ship that is difficult to cross. Relying on this directly perceived essence of mind, may you make human existence meaningful. May you find lasting happiness forever. From today onwards, I have no ability to lead sentient beings of existence to directly realize that nature, except to give a little bit of compassion. Therefore, I dwell alone in this forest. Clear water, abundant leaves, flowers, and fruits, surrounded by waterfalls, vines, and a fence of light. In the cool bamboo room, which is pleasing and delightful, may my mind achieve peaceful meditation. There, may ghosts and beings not see me, and there, seeking only clear water and a little ascetic food, meditating on the meaning of the nectar of the Guru's instructions, may I abandon this body with life. There also, upon seizing the clear light of death, and in the bardo, may the clear light be liberated into the primordial ground, and with inseparable body and wisdom, may the two purposes of beings be spontaneously accomplished. This is called "The Precious Boat of the Essential Instructions on the All-Creating King of Bodhicitta," by the supreme vehicle yogi Longchen Rabjam, for the virtuous student.
