Dispelling the darkness of ignorance, may the light of the supreme Dharma, benefit and bliss, blaze greatly, and may the lotus garden of the glorious four bodies flourish! From this day forth, throughout all lifetimes, may I also partake of the nectar of the venerable Lama's teachings, greatly increasing the power of wisdom, and may I enjoy the glory of the Dharma of liberation! In short, may all my actions become the cause for the flourishing of the early translation teachings, and may the power of the wish-fulfilling jewel of explanation and practice establish the victory banner of the Buddha's teachings at its peak! This is the lamp that clarifies the essential points of the tantras, agamas, and instructions, in order to establish the meaning of the empowerment of the Great Collection Sutra. It was requested long ago by the words of many holy beings, and especially upon receiving the command of the father and son, the King of Dharma, the Great Treasure Revealer, the Lord of the Mandala, the embodiment of all Buddhas, with a hundredfold faith. This was written by the mad monk Dharma Shri, who lives by the immeasurable kindness of that one, at the age of fifty-seven, in the year of the changing Iron Tiger, on the morning of the twentieth day of the middle winter victorious month, when the sun is in the accomplishment of Fire Four, at the Dharma school of Orgyen Mindroling, the source of the qualities and precious jewels where all the rivers of explanation and practice gather.
