Where, by what, is what spoken? Four connections, the door of explaining combination. Completely pure, clearly divine. Where does Avalokiteshvara see all the endless beings? Here, he sees only four kinds of vessels: those with attachment, those with wrong views, those with lineage, and those with intelligence. All appear as four parts: desire, guidance, union, and definite appearance. Sometimes those are four parts: where is the need, where is the certainty? From the nature, the object, and what is possessed, four kinds of teachings, meanings, reasons, and logic. Appearing and not contradicting, vast, suitable, combined. All without cause, examined, attached. How does it appear to be proven and accomplished? By what signs do which meet? It is certain to take the meaning of which. Thus, by discussing the definitive itself, the Bodhisattvas of inferior bodies attained certainty about all dharmas merely through expression.
