O Lord of Secrets, what opens the two doors, and how is it explained? He said: O Lord of Lanka, the two doors are like this, and they are also explained and clarified by three keys: the common limb, the sutra, and the root. What are these six limbs? They are: the limb of action, the limb of means, the limb of union, the limb of conduct, the limb of knowledge, and the limb of completion. O Lord of Lanka, these six limbs are also completely perfected by twelve limbs in total, and are clearly explained by six limbs. What are the twelve? They are: the limb of the door, the limb of the sacred, the limb of certainty, the limb of thought, the limb of the object, the limb of recitation, the limb of union, the limb of conduct, the limb of attainment, the limb of abiding, the limb of the ground, and the limb of view. O Lord of Lanka, what are the six? They are: the limb of cause, the limb of root, the limb of relation, the limb of guidance, the limb of certainty, and the limb of union. O Lord of Lanka, these should be understood as common in all respects. O Lord of Lanka, those are the limbs, and it should be known that those doors are opened and clearly explained by them. O Lord of Lanka, what is the sutra? They are: the unborn, equality, suchness, and the prediction without seeking. O Lord of Lanka, those are the other unborn, equality, suchness, and without seeking, and what is unmixed, that is Suchness itself. O Lord of Lanka, what is the root? They are: what is Suchness itself, and the sacred certainty and complete grasp. O Lord of Lanka, those are the roots, by which the suchness of those doors is certainly determined.
