The Red Amulet Tantra. In Sanskrit: Shirakasha Samugu Tantra. In Tibetan: The Red Amulet Tantra. Homage to the glorious Heruka, the Great Bliss, the Body of Perfect Enjoyment! Thus have I heard. Once, the Bhagavan, the Lord of Secret Mantras, the King of Vidyadharas, the glorious Heruka, the Great Blazing One, was dwelling on the summit of Mount Rimala. Then, when surrounded by the retinue of demons and spirits, by yakshas, planets, maras, nagas, the four amulet men, the two hundred and fifty amulet women, and the retinue of non-humans, the one with the six clairvoyances implored the Bhagavan thus: "O Great Blazing Yogi, we beseech you to prophesy the time to subdue by skillful means all evil thoughts, harm and destruction by others, obstacles to virtue and samadhi, and all that prevents the practice of Dharma." The Teacher replied: "It is good that you ask for the sake of beings, listen! All phenomena, both outer and inner, contained within the vessel and essence, accomplish benefit and happiness as vast as the sky. Abiding as they are in the Dharmakaya, the Nirmanakaya accomplishes the benefit of beings." Then he manifested as the terrifying mudra. Thereafter, the assembly of demons and spirits gathered and offered the life essence of the four mothers. Kangka Dare Jaja (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese Meaning), Zamun Dare Jaja (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese Meaning), Shula Dare Jaja (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese Meaning), Kuma Dare Jaja (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese Meaning). Having offered thus, the King of Herukas entered into the Samadhi of Blazing Jewel and accomplished the benefit of beings. From the Red Amulet Tantra, the first chapter, the Introduction. Then, the glorious King of Herukas spoke of this practice of the amulet woman. In the mandala, a square of one arrow-length, blood, milk, butter, and so on, honey and other things are placed in layers. In the center, a dark blue triangle, with a four-spoked wheel and borders, the four doors adorned with toranas. In the center is the King of Herukas. In the east, place Kangka Dare. In the south, place Kuma Dare. In the west, place Shula Dare. In the north, place Zamun Dare. In the skulls of those whose lineage is extinct, place human blood, dog blood, pig blood, and various poisons. The homa pit should be placed in a corner. In one corner, in a ram's horn, place honey, fat, and various hearts. These are the substances for offering.
