In the language of India: Sentimahāsamantabhadrajñānapatiguhyanāmatantra. In the Tibetan language: The Tantra Called "The Latter of the Latter Tantras, Displaying the Clear Wisdom of the Great Perfection, All-Good One." Homage to the Bhagavan Vajradhara Buddha Samantabhadra. Then, the glorious Samantabhadra spoke to the five families of Buddhas: To practice the meaning of awareness, empty and clear, first one must grasp the mind. To grasp the mind, it is like this: Listen, Vajrasattva, etc. Grasp onto a pillar, grasp onto a painting, grasp onto a gentle breeze, grasp onto a bindu, grasp onto an umbrella, grasp onto a wheel, grasp onto a letter, grasp onto the Good Woman Sarasvati, grasp onto a Vajra Master, grasp onto a fierce wind, grasp onto space. Among these, to grasp onto a pillar: Erect a pillar and fix the eyes upon it. Direct awareness towards it and meditate for three, five, or seven sessions, etc. To grasp the mind onto a painting: Settle awareness within the painting and grasp it. To grasp onto a gentle breeze: Press down the upper wind, restrain the lower wind, leave the middle wind in its place, and grasping onto the breath going in and out, direct it towards Aham (藏文:ཨ་ཧྃ,梵文天城体:अहं,梵文罗马拟音:aham,汉语字面意思:I). To grasp onto a bindu: Grasp onto a yellow bindu shimmering between the eyebrows, or by contemplating at the tip of the nose. To grasp onto an umbrella: Contemplate a large umbrella below, and contemplate oneself above. Grasp awareness onto the turning of the umbrella. To grasp onto a wheel: If one cannot concentrate, the lama makes an umbrella out of paper and turns it, burning incense in front of the nose, and ringing a bell in the ear, and then grasp. To grasp onto a letter: In the place where the mind dwells, without distraction, direct attention to letters such as Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྂ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum) or A (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:A) and grasp. To grasp onto the Good Woman Sarasvati: The father and mother are blessed in the secret place, the two organs are joined, and grasp when the bodhicitta reaches the vajra waist. To grasp onto a Vajra Master: Contemplate the lama on the crown of the head and grasp onto that. To grasp onto a fierce wind: Awareness is made full and reversed, and then grasp. To grasp onto space: Direct awareness towards the space in front, like threading a needle, or like drawing a bow, make the memory strong and grasp. These

To be held by being distracted. Thus it was said. From the Later Subsequent Tantra, the chapter is the first. Then again, it was taught: Then the teaching of reversing suppression is: If wind arises when the mind is grasped, consciousness will come like tangled hair in a mess. Unable to sleep. Massage should be done for this. Nourishing food should be taken. If bile arises and symptoms such as seeing yellow appear, coolness should be given. If phlegm arises and symptoms such as bloating, rumbling, and poor appetite occur, then the lower abdomen should be cleansed. Thus it was said. From the Later Subsequent Tantra, the chapter is the second. Then again, it was taught: Thus, after the mind has been grasped, one should see awareness as empty and clear. In that state, meditate on clarity. From this, practice without distraction. At the time of death, generate mindfulness and rebirth, and transfer consciousness with instructions. From this, the result is the three bodies and five wisdoms. Thus it was said. From the Later Subsequent Tantra, the chapter is the third. Then again, it was taught: This tantra is said to be a supplement to the previous tantra, so Vajrasattva should hold it with cherished care. Thus he taught, and then he became in the nature of Dharma.
